During my time at an underresourced high school, I was often lost about how to enhance my resume so that my college applications were impressive to top-choice schools. I questioned which programs to join, what classes to take, the purpose of a passion project, and why my application needed a cohesive theme. While researching ways to stand out, I realized that valuable information was often hard to come by. In contrast to my friends at elite prep schools who were receiving guidance on research, passion projects, and internships, I was left in the dark about accessing similar opportunities. This confusion fueled my motivation to create The Higher EDvantage, aimed at supporting low-income and underrepresented students in navigating their college journeys and crafting standout applications. My website and services offer assistance at every step, with a sliding scale pricing model. Now attending Harvard, I want to share the insider knowledge I've gained without a financial burden on students in need, offering my services for free to those who qualify.
